United Americans for Rational, Honest Government

Simply put, the USA's two party system is a disaster for modern, honest, representative government. Both the Democrat and Republican parties have been thoroughly corrupted by a voracious need for campaign money and extremist views. Each party's candidates must genuflect to the social extremists and monied interests of their respective sides. The end result is almost always a choice of two, and only two, very poor, corrupt, unrepresentative choices. Then we, the electorate, are forced to choose the lesser of two evils. The only thing our two party system does seem to agree on is keeping any viable 3rd, 4th or 5th party or independent candidates out of the system.

United Americans for Rational, Honest Government seeks to discover rational, workable solutions to all areas of government through a case-by-case analysis of each issue. We have no predetermined answers, nor do we reject solutions based on the person or organization who submits a solution. We also take no position on controversial, social issues such as abortion, gay marriage or euthanasia because we recognize that decent, honest, intelligent people can vary significantly in their opinions and that that should have no effect on all the other issues of good governance. We see that these controversial, social issues have been hijacked by the 2-party system only to drive a wedge between people and help keep their respective bases in line. We recognize that with over 300 million Americans we will never have overwhelming agreement on certain issues, but that should have nothing whatsoever to do with other issues of government and fiscal responsibility.
